California Governor Jerry Brown Signs Landmark Bill

California Gov. Jerry Brown signed the landmark Senate Bill 100 (SB 100) on October 29th, setting the Golden State on a path to generate 100 percent of its electricity from renewable and zero-carbon sources such as solar and wind by 2045.

The UC schools in California have also made a very important and impactful commitment. California’s flagship public university system, with 238,000 students across 10 campuses, will run completely on electricity from clean, renewable energy by 2025.

This is great news for the environment- we need big entities to take a stand and do the right thing. This has to a top-down and a grassroots movement to make changes for our environment.
